Our interconnected programmes address environmental degradation, economic vulnerability, and educational gaps through youth empowerment and sustainable solutions in rural Kenya.
From Learners to Leaders
Our flagship programme trains primary-school pupils as Environmental Champions who lead conservation from within their own schools and communities. Through structured leadership development, hands-on Green Clubs, school-wide tree-planting campaigns, indigenous tree nurseries and ecosystem-restoration projects, champions gain the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to drive real environmental change — and carry those values with them for life. Working alongside teachers, parents and local leaders, each champion becomes a catalyst who multiplies impact far beyond the school gate. Through this programme we seek to achieve the following outcomes:

Our 2036 Targets
When communities can earn a living from the environment rather than at its expense, sustainability becomes self-reinforcing. We help champions and their families establish productive school and household fruit orchards, run indigenous tree nurseries, keep bees, adopt clean-cooking solutions, and join village savings and loan associations (VSLAs) and table-banking circles. Trained community ambassadors carry these skills household to household, while income from orchards, nurseries and apiaries funds further conservation. The result is climate-smart livelihoods that lift food security and household income — turning environmental action into lasting economic security.

Our 2036 Targets
Poverty should never decide a child's future. We remove financial barriers through education support and school-levy assistance, pair younger pupils with trained peer mentors, and strengthen student leadership and governance within each school. Scholarships and bursaries keep vulnerable champions enrolled, while mentorship and life-skills coaching build the confidence and resilience that lift academic outcomes and retention. Together these efforts keep children learning, nurture well-rounded young people, and produce Kenya's next generation of environmental and community leaders.

Our 2036 Targets
ShareServe recruits and runs community programmes around each school, involving parents and community leaders to champion tree planting and environmental stewardship. These programmes ensure that the impact extends far beyond the school gates — creating a ripple effect of change throughout entire communities.
We identify and train passionate community members who become local advocates for environmental stewardship. Ambassadors lead tree-planting drives, educate their neighbours on sustainable practices, and serve as the vital link between ShareServe programmes and the wider community.
Parents are the backbone of sustainable change. We engage parents through school-based workshops, hands-on tree planting days, and VSLA groups that give families a stake in the environmental and economic outcomes of every project.
Chiefs, village elders, and local government officials are essential allies. ShareServe works alongside community leaders to secure land for orchards, mobilise volunteers, and ensure that environmental initiatives receive the long-term support they need to thrive.
