Every tree planted, every champion mentored, every community empowered — we track and share our impact with full transparency.
Real numbers reflecting real impact across rural Kenya
Real narratives from the communities we serve — children are identified by first name only and shared with guardian consent; other identities are protected
EnvironmentWhen ShareServe helped establish a Green Club at a primary school in Embu County, only a handful of students showed up to the first meeting. Within six months, the club had 40 active members who planted over 200 indigenous trees on the school grounds. The once-barren compound now provides shade, improves air quality, and serves as a living classroom. Academic performance in science improved as students applied what they learned in the field, and the club became the most popular extracurricular activity in the school.
LivelihoodsA mother of four from Tharaka Nithi County volunteered as a Community Environmental Ambassador after attending a ShareServe awareness campaign. She started by planting fruit trees in her own homestead, then mobilised 15 neighbouring families to do the same. Within a year, the group had established a community nursery producing over 500 seedlings annually. The surplus seedlings are sold to generate income, and the orchards now provide fresh fruit for local families — turning environmental action into economic opportunity.
EducationAmani, a Grade 8 pupil in Embu County, was at risk of dropping out due to unpaid school levies and a lack of basic supplies. Through ShareServe's education support programme, her fees were covered and she received a uniform and textbooks. With the financial burden lifted, Amani joined the school's Green Club and quickly rose to the "Sapling" leadership level. She has since planted 12 trees, mentors two younger pupils, and dreams of becoming an environmental scientist — a path she never imagined possible before. (First name used with her guardian's consent.)
Hear from school leaders, community members, and partners whose lives have been touched by our work
“Since ShareServe established a Green Club at our school, student engagement has increased dramatically. Our champions are now leading environmental initiatives that benefit the entire community. The club has become a source of pride for the school and the surrounding area.”
Mrs. W.
Head Teacher, Embu County
“ShareServe did not just come to plant trees — they came to build relationships. They involved parents, elders, and local leaders from day one. That is why the trees survive and the orchards thrive. This is genuine partnership.”
Chief M.
Community Leader, Tharaka Nithi County
“We have worked with many NGOs, but ShareServe stands out for their transparency and community-first approach. Every shilling is accounted for, and the impact data they share is verified and meaningful. They are a model for how grassroots organisations should operate.”
